Dr Caroline Roberts

Dr Caroline Roberts joined the Inhabit Health team in January 2022. 

Originally from New Zealand where she gained her primary medical degree, Caroline has been practicing Psychiatry for the past 15 years in Victoria and Queensland. She obtained her Masters in Psychiatry at the University of Melbourne in 2010 and gained her Fellowship with the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists in 2013. She is also a member of the RANZCP Faculty of Adult Psychiatry.

Prior to joining Inhabit Health in 2022, Caroline had spent the previous eight years sharing her skills and expertise as a Staff Specialist with the Gold Coast Mental Health Service. She has a broad range of experience in both hospital and community adult mental health settings, including treating those with severe and enduring psychiatric conditions. She has a strong focus on person-centred holistic care, helping people get back on their journey to recovery.

Caroline works part-time at Inhabit Health. She does not have admitting rights to any of the private inpatient facilities, however can facilitate hospital admissions (public or private) and provide comprehensive clinical handover for patients who may require a period of inpatient care.   

Caroline has several specialist areas of interest, including -

Mood disorders:

  • Major depression 

  • Dysthymia 

  • Bipolar disorder 

  • Mood disorders secondary to another medical condition – e.g. chronic illness 

Anxiety disorders:

  • Generalised anxiety disorder 

  • Social anxiety disorder 

  • Obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD) 

  • Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) 

Caroline does also welcome referrals relating to other general adult psychiatric conditions, including psychotic disorders. Please note however that Caroline does not have specialist expertise in intellectual or neurodevelopmental disorders including ADHD.

Currently, Caroline is not offering consultations for WorkCover or medicolegal matters. 

We can provide recommendations for alternative specialist clinics and services for those patients seeking assistance with substance use disorders / addictions, or older persons presenting with cognitive disorders.

Caroline is not currently accepting new referrals.
